Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer, the full-time remote position will focus on building core services and AI infrastructure for an innovative platform in hardware product development, utilizing technologies such as Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and developing ingestion pipelines to extract structured engineering artifacts from unstructured inputs
- Building and extending AI workflows for data extraction and proactive team coordination
- Deploying and operating services on GCP while ensuring code quality through testing and code reviews
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience building production backend systems, with at least 3 years in Python
- Proficiency with FastAPI or similar async Python web frameworks
- Production experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with task queues and background processing technologies like Celery and Redis
- Understanding of API design and service architecture
