Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Audit product team, the remote Senior Backend Engineer will set technical direction for backend development, design scalable web application systems, and mentor team members while ensuring high-quality code delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement complex applications that leverage machine learning techniques for healthcare claims and payments
- Contribute to new product development while balancing customer-facing features and technical debt cleanup
- Serve as a backend voice in cross-team planning and facilitate effective cross-functional execution
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend programming, with additional full-stack experience highly desired
- Proven experience designing and shipping customer-facing web application products
- Meaningful experience with Java or Scala; Rust experience is highly desired
- Experience in designing and operating distributed systems on cloud services at scale
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
