Job Summary
Driving the technical design and implementation of backend features, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will manage REST API development, database schema changes, and performance tuning while working remotely within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own critical aspects of engineering infrastructure and processes for service design and maintenance
- Lead technical discussions to find optimal solutions and assist team members in solving complex problems
- Contribute to feature development, maintenance, and code quality through reviews and technical presentations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience
- 3+ years of experience with Python and its ecosystem as the primary development environment
- 3+ years of designing and extending RESTful APIs
- 3+ years of experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask
- 2+ years of relational SQL experience
