Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Building and owning the agent execution runtime, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer on the Defensive Agent team will develop robust systems for NodeZero's defensive agents, ensuring production safety across customer environments in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement durable workflows with checkpointing, idempotent steps, and cancellation for agent execution
- Build the connector framework for third-party security control planes and implement a safe-change pipeline with audit trails
- Collaborate with AI researchers to transition capabilities from prototype to production while ensuring system integrity and observability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Scala)
- Experience building applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Expert proficiency in SQL and demonstrated experience in designing distributed systems in production
- A track record of shipping and operating production services, including on-call ownership
