Senior Backend Engineer II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer II - AI-Native, Devices Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for device connectivity and telemetry using AI as a collaborator
• Define and codify AI-native engineering practices for the team and the broader organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define APIs and workflows for device-driven features

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and operating high-quality backend services in Java, Go, Python, or similar languages
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and using AI tooling in development
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and distributed systems
• Solid skills in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and production deployments
• Experience with databases and event/streaming systems
