Senior Backend Engineer II

Job Summary

To support the Devices Cloud team, the full-time remote Senior Backend Engineer II will build and enhance cloud services for connected hardware, focusing on telemetry ingest, device state management, and integration with family-facing experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain components and features of Devices Cloud services with an emphasis on quality and reliability
• Own well-defined features from implementation through production, delivering accurate estimates and reliable code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement APIs and integrations across hardware and software systems

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically in backend or cloud services
• Working knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure (AWS services like EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Experience using AI coding assistants for engineering tasks, demonstrating ownership of delivered code
• Solid coding skills with a focus on self-testing to ensure low-defect work
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field or equivalent experience
