Senior Backend Engineer II
Job Summary
To build the data and context foundation for an agentic platform, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer II will design and operate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and storage systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs for context ingestion and retrieval
- Own batch and real-time data flows, including event ingestion, transformation, and low-latency serving
- Develop reusable capabilities for agent context, ensuring data quality, security, and performance
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with production backend or distributed systems
- Strong programming skills in modern languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Rust, along with SQL proficiency
- Experience designing and operating APIs and data-intensive systems with high reliability and scalability
- Familiarity with modern data infrastructure, including streaming systems and cloud-based platforms
- A bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
