Senior Backend PHP Developer

Job Summary

To support the development of sophisticated products, the full-time Senior Backend PHP Developer will participate in design, implementation, and deployment activities, focusing on complex database solutions and REST API development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex queries and REST APIs while solving intricate database problems in a high-volume environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in code reviews, and propose system enhancements
• Implement testing strategies and support software quality assurance efforts to ensure functionality and design validation

Required qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in PHP, Object-Oriented Programming, and REST API development
• Proficiency in MySQL (Aurora) and MongoDB (DocumentDB), with strong ORM experience in Doctrine or Eloquent
• Experience with Symfony or Laravel frameworks and familiarity with Docker development environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC tools, techniques, and best practices
