Senior Backend Software Developer

Job Summary

Designing and developing backend API and database services, the full-time Senior Backend Software Developer will work primarily remotely with occasional office visits in Coimbra, focusing on building and maintaining cloud-hosted PBX platforms while driving system performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for cloud-hosted PBX platforms
• Contribute to architecture decisions regarding functionality, scalability, and reliability
• Debug and resolve complex issues in production and pre-production environments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend
• Recent development experience in Python
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and API design
• Proficient in SQL and relational database management
• Experience with CI/CD practices and test automation
