Senior Backend Software Developer

Job Summary

Designing and developing API and database backend services, the full-time Senior Backend Software Developer will work primarily remotely with occasional office visits, focusing on solving complex problems, driving system performance improvements, and collaborating with QA on testing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for a cloud-hosted PBX platform
• Contribute to architecture decisions considering functionality, scalability, and reliability
• Debug and resolve complex issues in production and pre-production environments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend
• Recent development experience programming in Python
• Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and building/consuming APIs
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with CI/CD practices and test automation
