Job Summary
Building backend software for a live fleet of bots, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will coordinate task assignments, develop planning logic, and maintain system state in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop backend software to manage bot coordination, including planning collision-free routes and task assignments
- Implement continuous replanning and recovery workflows to maintain operational efficiency in dynamic environments
- Design and maintain APIs and data models that support orchestration and fleet operations
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of production software engineering experience
- Experience solving routing, scheduling, or optimization problems in production software
- Familiarity with algorithmic problem spaces such as multi-agent path finding or vehicle routing
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly SQL or Postgres
- Experience designing and supporting APIs for other services or systems
