Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Data Layer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver new features and improvements, ensuring security, performance, and adherence to internal standards
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, initiating continuous improvements to processes and tooling
• Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to maintain high quality in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Backend Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Java and experience with databases such as Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or Relational Databases
• Practical experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, and Docker
• Ability to take ownership of the codebase and operate software with a "you build it, you run it" mindset
• Passion for coaching other engineers and improving team practices
