Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Payments team within the Platform organization, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend services for payment processing using Go, ensuring high reliability for financial transactions while working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems for processing high-volume payment traffic
• Own end-to-end delivery of payment features, from technical design to production deployment
• Drive improvements in system reliability, observability, and performance across payment services

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, particularly in service-oriented or microservices architecture
• Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages, with experience in designing scalable APIs and distributed systems
• Track record of owning features from design through deployment and production support
• Experience with financial systems or high-volume transactional systems requiring precision
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency and quality
