Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer to modernize a mission-critical legacy system using AI-led tools, focusing on developing domain services in TypeScript and Node.js while collaborating with stakeholders in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Decompose complex business problems into technical specifications for AI agents to implement code accurately
• Develop and own domain services, including case lifecycle state machines and payment-schedule logic
• Lead the extraction and reimplementation of business logic from legacy systems into a modern environment

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a U.S. SECRET clearance
• 7+ years of experience building and operating production web systems
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex)
• Professional proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and security fundamentals
