Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of innovative financial products, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will take ownership of large domains related to card processing and core ledgering, while working remotely with a team of talented engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, design, and maintenance of Flex's platform and services
• Architect scalable services and data models to support continued growth
• Mentor engineers and drive best-in-class technology frameworks and tooling

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of server design principles
• Four or more years of relevant industry experience with a track record of shipping high-quality products
• Experience with cloud providers such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
• Familiarity with architectural patterns for scalable, low-latency systems
• Ability to evaluate technical directions and make data-driven decisions
