Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of innovative AI solutions, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain core backend APIs and services primarily using Python and FastAPI in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend APIs and services, translating complex workflows into domain models and API contracts
• Build reliable integrations across various systems, enhancing CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure design and maintain data migration processes for operational and geospatial data

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Python
• Experience building production APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of relational data modeling and experience with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy
• Familiarity with AWS backend services such as ECS, Lambda, and RDS
• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipeline design using tools like GitHub Actions
