Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a fully remote Engineering team, the Senior Backend Software Engineer will collaborate on the architecture, design, and development of scalable applications and services, while solving complex infrastructure problems and enhancing DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on the architecture, design, and development of scalable and highly available applications and services
• Identify and implement enhancements to DevOps practices and tooling, leveraging automation for the CI/CD pipeline
• Drive technology design and articulate architecture solution options to product owners and Engineering leadership

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of programming experience in backend languages such as GoLang, Python, PHP, or Java
• 2+ years of experience with MySQL, caching technologies (like Redis), and non-relational data storage solutions
• Strong understanding of database schema design, caching, scalability, and distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern CI/CD and containerization tools like Docker
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
