Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the growth of a FinTech company, the remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will design, build, and scale backend services and APIs for financial infrastructure, ensuring secure and compliant payment experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services that power payments, billing, and financial systems
• Drive end-to-end delivery of impactful initiatives, from technical design to operational excellence
• Build robust integrations with external payment processors and financial service providers

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Java backend development
• Strong understanding of scalable, distributed systems and transactional systems
• Experience integrating with payment processors and banking partners
• Hands-on experience with AWS, containerization, and both relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and familiar with observability and monitoring tools
