Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing commerce platform, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, including database architecture and data processing pipelines, while working remotely from the United States.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP, Node.js, and React.js
• Build and maintain ETL and data pipelines using Airflow, and implement caching strategies with Redis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and provide production support

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend and data processing systems
• Strong proficiency in PHP, Node.js, and React.js
• Deep experience with MySQL database design and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for stream processing and AWS cloud infrastructure
