Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Passionate about building robust systems, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design and implement high-performance Elixir/Phoenix-based systems, manage cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with a remote engineering team to enhance document processing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the design and implementation of high-performance systems for the Document Engine and Web Services API
• Design and build scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitOps practices
• Operate and evolve the managed cloud platform, ensuring reliability, security, and cost-efficiency

Required qualifications

• Experience in backend services and distributed systems
• Proven track record running production workloads on Kubernetes and public cloud (AWS preferred)
• Strong coding skills, with a willingness to learn Elixir
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices
• A collaborative mindset with a culture of direct feedback
