Job Summary

Passionate about reliability and operational excellence, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design and execute automated chaos experiments and reliability tests for Camunda's platform, collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and execute automated chaos experiments and reliability tests to validate platform performance under real-world scenarios
• Continuously improve load testing and observability infrastructure to maintain system reliability and performance
• Introduce new tooling for reliability testing, driving measurable improvements in operational experience and user outcomes

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, specifically with Java
• Proven experience in automated reliability and chaos testing within distributed environments
• Strong enthusiasm for enhancing performance and fault-tolerance in production systems
• Autonomous problem-solving skills with the ability to influence team direction
• Willingness to use Camunda products and approach reliability from a user's perspective
