Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will own and deliver quarterly goals, support product development through collaboration, and proactively address infrastructure challenges while ensuring high availability and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, guiding engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle to articulate technical constraints and make informed decisions
- Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues while supporting the operations and availability of team artifacts
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems using Python or Kotlin
- Proven track record in developing highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Workflow Orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Flyte, or Prefect
- Familiarity with scaling frameworks like Spark/Flink for large-scale datasets on Kubernetes
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
