Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven organization, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design and build high-integrity systems for clinical data management, insurance billing, and patient-centric infrastructure, working remotely or from locations in New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend systems for managing clinical data and AI-powered clinical intelligence
• Develop and scale the insurance billing engine to handle complex claims processes efficiently
• Build backend services that enhance personalized care recommendations and patient experiences

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Experience with database technologies such as Postgres and Redis
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and operational tools like Datadog and Sentry
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
• Ability to work in complex domains, preferably with an interest in healthcare technology
