Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Building distributed, event-driven services, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design and implement a GraphQL API, manage policy execution pipelines, and maintain asset and cost data stores while working remotely across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Python, ensuring scalability and observability for governance workloads
• Lead backend initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to the design of APIs for internal and external consumption
• Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices, utilizing tools such as Terraform and Docker

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend service development with Python
• 3+ years of experience in leading backend projects and mentoring engineers
• Strong knowledge of distributed, event-driven systems and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including serverless technologies
• Proficiency in designing and evolving APIs, particularly using GraphQL
