Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Money Movement & Card Ledger team, the remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will own and deliver quarterly goals, collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development, and proactively identify and solve project issues while fostering a culture of quality and mentorship within the team.
Key responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through ambiguity to solve complex problems
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle
- Proactively identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with extensible designs
- Proficiency in making significant changes in large codebases and developing tools for safe modifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
