Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Partner Merchant Interfaces Integration team, the remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, and launch scalable backend systems, ensuring high-quality APIs for partners and merchants while collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to contribute to project goals and create visibility regarding work-related risks and trade-offs
• Design and implement backend systems using technologies like Python or Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• Engage in growth and development activities to foster a sense of community within the team

Required qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin and familiarity with distributed systems technologies
• Ability to write clear, well-tested, and extensible code while debugging and providing feedback during code reviews
• Proactive ownership of personal growth and seeking feedback from peers and stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
