Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning core backend services for institutional clients, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive onboarding automation, lead the design of client data services, and mentor engineers while working remotely with occasional in-person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend services that facilitate the onboarding process for institutional clients, including Unified Business Onboarding and KYC Refresh
• Drive automation for onboarding processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational overhead
• Lead the design and implementation of the Organizations Service, ensuring data quality and compliance with access controls

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production backend services in a service-oriented architecture
• Production experience with Go (or similar), gRPC/Protobuf, and relational data stores
• Demonstrated ability to write well-tested, production-grade code with high test coverage
• Experience in regulated domains such as identity, access control, or financial onboarding
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight in workflows
