Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for a primarily remote, full-time position, who will design and develop scalable backend services and APIs to enhance analytics and visualization capabilities across products.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for analytics and visualizations
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and UX teams to define service interfaces and data structures
- Optimize data access and service performance to support interactive customer experiences
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in backend applications and services
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages and experience with RESTful APIs or microservices
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and designing applications for significant data volumes
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and familiarity with Agile development methodologies
