Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing FinTech mission, the remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will design, build, and scale services and integrations for payment, billing, and identity systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the rent payment experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the scoping, design, and implementation of APIs, driving production rollouts with minimal oversight
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to solve user challenges through iterative development
- Build and maintain robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 4 years of experience with Java and related frameworks (Spring, Gradle, JUnit)
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and scalable architectures
- Proficiency with AWS services (EKS, Aurora RDS, DynamoDB) and containerization tools
- Ability to work effectively in a globally-distributed team environment
