Senior Backend Wagtail Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Wagtail Developer to lead the design and evolution of a sophisticated content platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the backend architecture of a complex, multi-site Wagtail CMS implementation
• Customize and extend Wagtail and Django functionality, including admin behavior, rendering logic, and content models
• Lead DevOps efforts across cloud environments, ensuring reliable CI/CD pipelines and smooth deployments

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Python, Django, and Wagtail CMS in production environments
• Strong understanding of Wagtail internals and the ability to extend and customize the framework
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Secrets Manager
• Proven background in DevOps practices, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and PostgreSQL-backed applications
• Exposure to integrating AI or LLM-driven features into web platforms
