Senior Benefits Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Specialist, Benefits and Authorization - Specialty Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy
• Assists AVA Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed
• Assists lead with team quality audits and may help with new hire onboarding and interview processes

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of two years of experience in a related field, with at least one year in a medical/healthcare role involving benefit and/or authorization
• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously
• Experience navigating and training to multiple payor portals
• Healthcare/medical billing experience preferred
