Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Benefits Consultant for a remote contract position, responsible for overseeing the strategic assessment, compliance, and administration of retiree Health and Welfare plans, including conducting needs assessments and managing plan amendments.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and manage plan restatements and amendments for retiree Health and Welfare plans
- Analyze large datasets for regulatory filings and ensure compliance with HR policies, collective bargaining agreements, and federal/state laws
- Lead special projects related to regulatory changes and adapt to evolving departmental objectives
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a focus on benefits administration
- Deep knowledge of ERISA compliance and regulatory reporting specific to Retiree Health and Welfare benefits
- Proven experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements and managing benefits for represented employee groups
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms, preferably Oracle HCM, and expert-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and analyze large, complex datasets
