Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Benefits Consultant for a remote contract position, responsible for overseeing the strategic assessment, compliance, and administration of retiree Health and Welfare plans, including conducting needs assessments and managing plan amendments.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and manage plan restatements and amendments for retiree Health and Welfare plans
  • Analyze large datasets for regulatory filings and ensure compliance with HR policies, collective bargaining agreements, and federal/state laws
  • Lead special projects related to regulatory changes and adapt to evolving departmental objectives
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a focus on benefits administration
  • Deep knowledge of ERISA compliance and regulatory reporting specific to Retiree Health and Welfare benefits
  • Proven experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements and managing benefits for represented employee groups
  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms, preferably Oracle HCM, and expert-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and analyze large, complex datasets
