Senior BI Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior BI Engineer, the candidate will architect and manage the next generation of the enterprise data ingestion ecosystem, leading the transition from SQL Server to Snowflake while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance data solutions in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of a standardized data ingestion framework into Snowflake, ensuring scalability and security
• Mentor BI developers and provide technical leadership on data ingestion initiatives, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate ingestion requirements into scalable technical solutions and contribute to architectural roadmaps

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 7-10 years of professional experience in data engineering, with 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
• 4-6 years of experience building data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines or equivalent orchestration tools
• 5+ years of enterprise SQL experience, including advanced SQL Server work and Change Data Capture (CDC) implementation
• Experience leading data engineering initiatives or serving as a technical lead on ingestion projects for 3+ years
