Senior Big Data Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and delivering scalable big data and ETL solutions, the full-time Senior Big Data Engineer will work remotely to support various client projects across the U.S., collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging modern big data frameworks and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement highly scalable ETL applications on Hadoop and Big Data ecosystems
• Develop scripts, tools, and methodologies to streamline and automate ETL workflows
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver big data projects using Spark, Python, Scala, SQL, and Hive

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in software development
• Experience writing ETL Spark applications in PySpark or Scala
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling techniques
