Senior Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Senior Billing Specialist will ensure timely resolution of coding and claim edits, accurately bill patient claims to insurance companies, and conduct follow-ups on account balances while maintaining flexibility in work hours.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve coding and claim edits to facilitate timely claim generation
• Accurately bill patient claims and follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or overpaid balances
• Collaborate with patients and insurance companies to secure payments and manage denial appeals

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum of 3 years of physician billing experience
• Working knowledge of the claim denial process and Health Insurance Claim Form (HCFA)
• Ability to navigate multiple programs and learn complex computer systems
• Flexibility to work full-time (40 hours/week) during normal business hours with potential overtime
