Senior Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting daily billing operations, the full-time Senior Billing Specialist will manage accurate claim submissions, payment postings, and follow-ups to ensure timely reimbursement for behavioral health services in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Submit clean claims to commercial and government payors and review claim rejections and denials
• Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately while following up on unpaid or underpaid claims
• Collaborate with internal teams and insurance payors to resolve billing issues and maintain accurate billing documentation

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• 1-3 years of medical billing experience preferred, with behavioral health billing experience a plus
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing processes
• Experience with electronic billing systems and EHRs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
