Senior Bioinformatics Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable software solutions for bioinformatics pipelines
• Develop and refine data models to ensure computational algorithm performance and integrity
• Design and enhance ETL processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years in software development with experience in scalable software solutions
• Proficient in at least two programming languages (Python, Perl, R, or Bash preferred)
• Strong background in database systems such as SQL Server, NoSQL, or MySQL
• Agile development experience with Git and CI/CD implementation
