Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to work remotely, this full-time position will drive the design and development of next-generation minimal residual disease (MRD) laboratory developed tests (LDTs), contributing to assay concepts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver clinically actionable diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to bioinformatics strategy for MRD assay design, development, and lifecycle management
- Design and execute analytical studies to evaluate assay performance in collaboration with wet lab and biostatistics partners
- Partner closely with molecular biology, assay development, QA/RA, clinical, and software engineering teams to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative field (or M.Sc. plus 3 additional years of industry experience)
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in biotech, diagnostics, or regulated healthcare environments
- Demonstrated experience in NGS-based assay development for clinical diagnostics, particularly with ctDNA-based MRD assays
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience developing reproducible, production-grade analysis pipelines
- Proven experience working in design-controlled, regulated environments (CAP/CLIA LDT, IVD, or equivalent)
