Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Bioinformatics Scientist with deep expertise in transcriptomics and computational biology, who will lead the development of novel algorithms and scalable bioinformatics workflows for RNA and multiomic sequencing applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of algorithms and analytical methods for RNA and multiomic sequencing applications
• Design and implement scalable bioinformatics workflows and evaluate emerging technologies for new features and capabilities
• Mentor scientists and engineers, providing technical leadership and influencing product direction across multiple product cycles

Required qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Significant experience in developing bioinformatics algorithms and production software for NGS applications
• Strong background in transcriptomics and statistical modeling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ or Python
• Demonstrated technical leadership with a track record of driving complex projects from concept to delivery
