Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for bioinformatic pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions to meet business requirements
- Create and optimize data models and develop ETL processes for efficient data handling
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance while developing interactive dashboards and reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a proven track record of scalable software solutions
- Deep knowledge of at least two programming languages (Python, Perl, R, or Bash)
- Proficient in various database technologies, including SQL Server, NoSQL, and MongoDB
- Experience with Agile frameworks and CI/CD practices using Git
