Job Summary
Creative and detail-oriented, the full-time remote Senior Book Designer will manage multiple projects, collaborating with editorial and production teams to design high-quality book interiors, typeset proofs, and prepare print-ready files.
Key responsibilities
- Simultaneously handle 12-20 projects throughout the publishing cycle
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and art directors from design concept to final print-ready files
- Initiate problem-solving and manage project progress to meet deadlines effectively
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in designing and typesetting book interiors
- BA in Design, particularly in interior book design and typography
- Expertise in Adobe CC Suite, especially InDesign, with strong typography skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of long document production and printing processes
- Strong understanding of trade book design and current industry trends
