Senior BOP Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Senior BOP Underwriter, the full-time remote position will evaluate risks, make underwriting decisions, and manage a profitable commercial insurance portfolio for small businesses across various industries.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate BOP and small commercial submissions, analyzing applications and assessing various commercial exposures
- Develop pricing and coverage terms based on risk characteristics and market conditions while managing a profitable book of business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and brokers, providing underwriting guidance and support
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience, with 7+ years specifically in BOP underwriting
- Proven experience managing a profitable commercial book of business
- Strong background in small commercial insurance and middle-market risks
- Experience working directly with independent agents and wholesale brokers
- Strong knowledge of commercial property and liability coverages, along with excellent risk selection skills
