Senior BSA/AML Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Senior BSA/AML Analyst for a 6-month remote contract role, responsible for managing end-to-end financial crimes investigations, monitoring AML alerts, and ensuring compliance with FinCEN guidance and state-level regulations within the cannabis industry.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate AML alerts and negative news related to cannabis clients
• Prepare marijuana-specific SAR reports in accordance with FinCEN guidance
• Conduct due diligence and ongoing monitoring of cannabis clients, including license verifications and account reviews

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of BSA/AML compliance experience, with fintech and cannabis banking preferred
• Experience filing marijuana-related SARs under FinCEN's MRB guidance framework
• Knowledge of AML transaction monitoring platforms and cannabis-specific compliance tools
• Ability to interpret state cannabis license data and assess operational structures
• CAMS certification is a plus
