Senior Budget Analyst

Job Summary

To ensure financial efficiency and alignment with strategic goals, the full-time Senior Budget Analyst will oversee budget development and monitoring, analyze financial data, and prepare detailed reports for senior leadership while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage equity and bond portfolios to maximize investment returns and assess budget variances
• Analyze financial data and forecast future budget needs, providing recommendations for resource allocation
• Supervise junior analysts and collaborate with department heads to support financial planning and decision-making

Required qualifications

• Four-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Minimum of five years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control
• Professional experience in budget development and corporate financial planning
• Budget and financial reporting experience in the public sector is considered an asset
• Ability to obtain a USPS Public Trust and U.S. citizenship
