Senior Budget Analyst

Job Summary

Managing the annual budget for a software development Product Line supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Budget Analyst will oversee budget planning, acquisition packages, and budget status reporting in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budget and acquisition needs throughout all phases of the contracting and software development lifecycle
• Support VA customers in developing and executing their annual Budget Operating Plan, including multi-year budget estimates and acquisition strategies
• Prepare and validate budget status reports for monthly OMB IT Dashboard submissions

Required qualifications

• Experience in Federal budget and acquisitions, including knowledge of applicable FAR policies
• Experience working as a federal contractor or federal employee
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Experience as a consultant, managing and supporting government clients and stakeholders
• Ability to schedule and facilitate executive-level virtual meetings effectively
