Job Summary
To support the U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration, the full-time Senior Budget Analyst/Program Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team in providing federal financial management, accounting, and budget support while operating in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the principal contractor representative and strategic advisor to the MARAD CFO and Deputy CFO
- Translate executive priorities and reporting cycles into clear work plans and deliverables while ensuring effective communication and workload management
- Oversee financial reporting and budget analysis for active grant awards, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and quality control procedures
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in federal financial management or a closely related field
- At least five years of experience leading a federal financial-management program or advisory engagement
- Demonstrated experience working with federal CFOs or executive-level leaders
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal accounting and financial reporting standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred
