Job Summary

To support critical research initiatives, the full-time Senior Burkina Faso Researcher will conduct media and social media investigations, analyze findings, and manage a team remotely over a contract period of 3 months, with potential for extension.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct media, social media, and field research in Burkina Faso
• Analyze and synthesize information, identifying links between evidence and distinguishing findings from analytical judgments
• Deliver comprehensive reports and manage a team of researchers

Required qualifications

• Strong understanding of Burkina Faso's political, security, and information landscape
• Demonstrated familiarity with principal armed groups and influence actors in the region
• Excellent investigative skills with a methodical, evidence-led approach
• Experience managing a diverse team
• Fluency in English and French
