Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary

Driving the requirements lifecycle, the full-time Senior Business Analyst (Product Owner) will translate high-level business needs into actionable user stories, ensuring clarity and completeness for development teams while collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineering in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle from intake through sprint readiness
• Translate business needs into well-structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Lead requirements gathering sessions and maintain a prioritized backlog for sprint execution

Required qualifications

• BS degree and 8-12 years of experience in a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst role within an Agile environment
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Confluence
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering sessions and backlog refinement activities
• Experience working directly with software development teams and ensuring work meets the Definition of Ready
• Strong ability to drive structured discussions and extract clarity from ambiguity
