Senior Business Analyst - Accounting

Job Summary

To support a client in the commercial insurance industry, the full-time remote Senior Business Analyst - Accounting will serve as a liaison between accounting business users and technology teams, leading requirements gathering and driving process improvements in accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between accounting business users, project teams, vendors, and technology stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead requirements gathering sessions, document business processes, and analyze accounting operations to identify opportunities for improvement
• Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting accounting, finance, or financial systems initiatives
• Strong accounting background with experience in general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting processes
• Hands-on experience leading business analysis activities, including requirements documentation and user story creation
• Experience with accounting and financial systems such as Blackline, Kyriba, or Guidewire
