Job Summary
To support procurement processes, the full-time Senior Buyer Utah Licensed will manage specialized purchasing tasks, mentor junior buyers, and resolve customer service issues while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee complex purchasing workflows, ensuring compliance and execution of purchase orders for high-risk items
- Lead proactive supply risk management and act as the primary contact for assigned categories, facilitating resolutions to supply continuity issues
- Mentor Buyer I and Buyer II positions by sharing knowledge and facilitating training to enhance team performance
Required qualifications
- Maintain a professional license as necessary for specific purchasing categories (e.g., pharmacy tech license for pharmacy buyers)
- Experience in procurement roles requiring attention to detail and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Workday ERP and other relevant purchasing systems
- Three to five years of experience in roles involving effective communication and customer service skills
